An ox in the mire

My cousin Gordy discovered an ox that somehow got stuck in the mire up in Seattle last weekend, so he and his son Kadence had to take a trip up to Seattle to get it out. So Julie, Trey, and I headed up a little early, saw some friends, went to Julie's favorite consignment shop, took a couple pictures, and went and picked up the ox's saviors at the airport.
Caught some autumn colors. It was an incredible day in Seattle as you can see.

Prior to saving the ox we headed over to visit the flying fish at Pike's Place Market and take some more pictures.

Then we got the monkeys off our backs that had been sitting there since November, 2005 and conquered the Fremont Troll. See, it was on our way to visit this bugger that we killed Clifford the little red car 2 years ago and broke Brian's shoulder. We dared not return until now, when we mustered up all the courage we had, took a different route to, and safely made it to and from the troll.



After the troll, we began our trek to rescue the ox in the mire. Kadence and Trey hit it off, even though Kadence head butted Trey at the end of the day (on accident of course) and gave him a bloody nose.


Somehow, the ox found the mire inside Qwest Field, home of the Seahawks. We had to go in.


Here we are looking for the poor ox. Trey's looking the hardest. The spot we had was fairly close to the mire, so we had a good view, but the binoculars really made it nice when we needed to scout out our route to take for Operation Rescue Ox.


We figured that if we had animal fur on our head the ox would be more comfortable when we approached him.



Just before we could get down to save the ox, fireworks started going off, all these football players came out of the tunnels and proceeded to play a football game. Since we were already there, we had to watch it.
