Over the summer my sister Emily sent us a link to the “Color Run,” aka the happiest run on earth. Seriously, few things could be more fun and happy than a 5k fun run/walk where you all wear white shirts and get bombarded with a different color at every kilometer, so by the end you are color camouflaged. Then, in addition to that, there is a big color party at the finish line with music and even more color (think colored corn starch). It was scheduled to be in Portland two weeks after my Ironman, so we were in!
Emily and crew came down on Friday night, and we all got up early on Saturday and headed down to Portland. The weather was perfect and we (along with 15,000 other participants) ran, danced, skipped, galloped, rolled, and pranced our way through the course. All proceeds went to benefit A Child’s Aid, a non-profit charity. Below are some of the pictures and a video that Steve made.

Oh Ivan
Should you do it? Definitely. It’s tons of fun. The entry fee is a little steep, but it’s nice knowing that it’s going towards helping some kids in need. Also, I would recommend doing it with a group of friends or family. Events like this are always way more fun with a larger group.
